The Festive Season

Hi all,

Sorry i havent posted anything in a few days but i have been so wrapped up in christmas and getting into the festive season that i havent had a chance.

This post is going to be basically about what i have spent the past few days doing, i am now on holidays and due to the rainy weather i have been inside alot of the time.

#1- Hosting a christmas themed movie marathon:

Hosting and chritsmas themed movie marathon is so much fun! Grab a few of your closest friends or even family and grab the chocolate, put on your favouriute movies and start the fun. A few movies that i am obsessed with at the moment are the first Home Alone movie, Elf, The Grinch & The Nightmare Before Christmas.

#2-Bake some festive treats to share around:

Baking yummy things such as christmas cookies, a gingerbread house or men, shortbread bistcuits or some yummy mince pies, are all things that are sure to get you in the mood for the festive season and are a yummy early treat to have whilst waiting for christmas to arrive.

#3- DIY projects:

This year for alot of families money is tight at christmas time but decorating your house for chritsmas is a must, a few DIY projects that are simple and fun are alot cheaper then buying decor.

Making your own christmas scented candle-  http://www.livingwellspendingless.com/2013/11/18/diy-cinnamon-candle-gift-handmade-holidays/

Making your own advent calender- http://www.parents.com/holiday/christmas/crafts/best-advent-calendars/

#4- Decorate your tree with personalised decorations:

There are alot of things that are easy to make and can help your christmas tree look amazing this year, as i was getting lost on youtube with all the DIY projects i came across one in particular that stuck out to me. This idea is so cute and so easy that it would be great to do with the kids as a rainy day activity. This is Niomi Smart one of my favourite youtubers she has the cutest taste in decor for her home and the best fashion taste as well. Subscribe to her!

Well thats it, i hope you enjoy all these activities as much as i have, making the homemade candle is by far my favourite but the movie marathon is so good as well. Have an amazing christmas and new year but im sure there will be another blog post before then!

Temple & Webster

Hi all,

i spent all of today thinking about what i was going to write on my blog and then it clicked, i have an obsession with this very well known interiors company by the name of Temple & Webster. I am mid way through my Diploma in interior design and decoration and i am quite fussy about what i like, and what i think is not very pretty. Temple & Webster has to be the first site i have come across that i can honestly say i haven’t found one thing i don’t like.

They have decor to suit every room, colour scheme and mood. If you want a beachy, contemporary or warm feel to your home or if you simply want stuff to deck out your house for Christmas, Temple & Webster have got you covered.

The prices are incredible for the quality pieces you purchase, i can honestly not find a downside to this company and would absolutely recommend it and use it with my clients in the future once i am a qualified interior designer/decorator.

They have some amazing Christmas sales on at the moment and even if you don’t want to purchase anything but enjoy checking out whats on trend in the world of decoration, then you can simply follow the T&W blog or check out the website.

Polaroid ‘O’ rama

IMG_5442

Hi guys,

so this is another summer fave, my Fujifilm instax mini Polaroid camera. I have had his for around a year now and i am in love with it! in a society that is so wrapped up in having technology around, its nice to have something modified from the past.

In terms of expenses the film for these cameras can be a little bit pricey but if you buy in bulk online then its definitely value fr money! there are also some super  cute cases online as well! The cheapest i have found the cameras would have to be-

This is a great Christmas present or just great to buy your self as a way to capture great memories and have a laugh at how some of the photos turn out.

Pattern Box

photo 3

Hi all,

So as you all know i went to The Whitehouse Institute Of Design on Tuesday the 2nd of December in Surry Hills.

Whilst i was there i came across a shop by the name of The Stables-

http://www.broadsheet.com.au/sydney/food-and-drink/directory/cafe/stables-cafe and purchased a Pattern Box.

This is a box filled with 100 postcards designed by 10 contemporary designers.

First and foremost i need to say that all the prints on these postcards are amazing and some hand drawn. The reason i bought this Pattern Box was originally just for a room ornament but now that i have seen just how amazing all the patterns are i am thinking of blowing a few up and getting them printed on to canvas.

I highly recommend you check out all the designers and just how inspiring they all are!

Monthly Favourite

FullSizeRender

Chanel number 5 has to be one of my all time favourite perfumes ever! For some reason this month especially  my bottle contents has decreased majorly. With Christmas just around the corner and summer time hitting here in Australia a fresh elegant scent like this one seems suitable. Being moderately affordable and smelling gorgeous, Chanel number 5 is the way to go for the festive season.

Bondi Must Have

IMG_5159

Hi all,

Bondi is one of the star attractions of Sydney city, my hometown. Looking good is part of the experience and we all know that a pair of sunnies and the beach go hand in hand, A Chanel tan coloured bag doesn’t go astray either. Had a wonderful day at the beautiful 4 star Sabbaba Café.  Highly recommend a trip to Bondi!
